Harvest and Helcim Partner to Help Canadian SMBs Get Paid Faster with More Affordable Payment Processing

The partnership brings Helcim's affordable payment processing directly into Harvest's AI-powered accounts receivable platform, giving small businesses a simpler way to follow up on invoices, accept payments and improve cash flow.

TORONTO and CALGARYJuly 21, 2026

Harvest, an AI-powered accounts receivable platform purpose-built for Canadian SMBs, today announced its partnership with Helcim, a payment processor offering transparent, interchange-plus pricing with no monthly fees or contracts. The strategic partnership will bring Helcim's payment processing capabilities directly into Harvest's platform.

The integration will allow new and existing Helcim customers to connect their accounts to Harvest and automatically add Helcim-powered payment options to their outstanding invoices managed in QuickBooks or Xero. Customers receiving an invoice follow-up from Harvest will be able to pay quickly through Helcim, giving businesses a more direct path from invoice to payment.

The partnership brings together Harvest's technology and Helcim's payment infrastructure to address two of the most persistent challenges facing Canadian SMBs: getting paid on time and keeping payment processing costs under control.

Late payments can quickly become a major constraint on a small business's ability to operate and grow. Recent research found that 59% of small businesses were owed money from unpaid invoices, with nearly half reporting invoices more than 30 days overdue (QuickBooks US). In Canada, 42% of small businesses are relying on credit cards to finance their operations, illustrating how delayed customer payments can force owners to turn to expensive forms of short-term financing (QuickBooks Canada).

The partnership represents an important win for Canadian small businesses. Rather than combining separate tools for accounting, invoice follow-up and payment processing, businesses can use Harvest and Helcim together to create a more connected workflow—from an invoice being generated in QuickBooks or Xero, through personalized customer follow-up, payment, and reconciliation. The result is a simpler and more cost-effective way for SMBs to get paid faster, reduce administrative work and retain more of every dollar they earn.

Small businesses shouldn’t need to have a large finance team to manage their outstanding invoices. Harvest gives Canadian SMBs access to sophisticated AI technology that follows up on invoices, manages customer communication and helps businesses get paid faster. By integrating Helcim, we are now making the final step just as seamless—customers can move directly from a personalized invoice reminder to an affordable and convenient way to pay.

— Matt Himel, Founder and CEO of Harvest

Harvest connects with QuickBooks, Xero and a business's existing email account to help automate invoice follow-up. Its AI technology drafts and sends personalized communications, manages follow-up cadences, identifies customer responses and gives businesses greater visibility into their overdue accounts.

The Helcim integration will allow businesses to automatically include a secure payment option in those communications without changing how invoices are initially created or managed within their accounting software.

Payments should be simple, transparent and affordable for every small business—that’s the mission we've built Helcim on from day one. Through this partnership, we're bringing our fair pricing and full suite of tools directly to Harvest users, so they can accept payments without hidden fees eating into their bottom line.

— Nic Beique, Founder and CEO of Helcim

Backed by Simple Ventures and leading Canadian technology entrepreneurs, including Wealthsimple co-founder and CEO Michael Katchen and Wave co-founder Kirk Simpson, Harvest is seeing strong demand from Canadian SMBs looking to modernize accounts receivable and improve cash flow. The platform is used by businesses across construction, home services, professional services and agencies, and has already helped customers collect millions of dollars in outstanding invoices while achieving faster payments, higher collection rates and significant time savings each week.
